How long does it take to receive the medication from Vitality Health?

Tirzepatide is dispensed by our contracted pharmacy. Current delivery time is 5-7 business days approximately.

Why am I not losing weight on Tirzepatide?

Be patient. Some people do not experience weight loss in the first 4 weeks. Everyone is different. Keep in mind these medications are to be used as tools and do not replace diet and exercise alone. While this is not common, some people do not experience weight loss until they reach a higher dose of 5 mg or even 7.5 mg. Do not increase dose prior to 4 weeks.

Can I stay at a particular dose without increasing?

Absolutely. If you find a dose that works for you, you can stay at that dosage. Just remember never to increase prior to 4 weeks.

What happens if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose and it has been 5-7 days past the due date of your injection, you may continue at current dose. If you miss a dose and it has been 8-13 days past the due date of your injection, reduce to the previous dose to minimize negative side effects. If greater than 14 days, you must go back to starting dose of 2.5mg and titrate back up every 4 weeks to the desired dose.

What should I do if I experience side effects?

If you experience any side effects please contact our office, your PCP, and go to your closest ER as needed. If you wish to minimize the reoccurrence of side effects, you may reduce your dose to 2.5mg (25 units) and titrate back up to the desired dose every 4-5 weeks.
